SEN. ABBO'S DEFECTION TO APC - A BLESSING IN DISGUISE TO PDP
Today being Wednesday 25th November 2020, Senator Ishaku Abbo of Adamawa Northern zone has officially announced his defection to APC. Senate President Ahmad Lawan read the letter during Wednesday’s plenary session.
In the letter, Senator Abbo explained that his decision to defect to the APC is because of the "mismanagement" of the PDP in Adamawa state by Governor Umaru Fintiri.
What captured my attention in the story is "MISMANAGEMENT" mentioned by Abbo as the main reason he left for APC.
If we are to objectively look at the achievements of Gov. Fintiri as a Governor, and Sen. Abbo as a Senator, there's no doubt that Sen. Ishaku Abbo has just insulted himself indirectly.
Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has achieved so much in less than 2 years more than the entire 4 years administration of APC in Adamawa State.
Governor Fintiri's "mismanagement" has contributed more on Security, Health, Education, Urbanization, Employment and Empowerment more than the so-called "management" of Senator Abbo.
If constructing township roads, 2 Fly-Overs, 4 Cottage Hospitals, renovations of 5000 classrooms and General Hospitals, Payment of WAEC & NECO fees to the entire public school students of Adamawa State, and payment of Salaries on 23-24th of each month is what we called "mismanagement" then slapping and harrassing innocent woman in a sex-toy shop can be considered as "MANAGEMENT" by Sen. Ishaku Abbo.
Sen. Abbo has failed to sponsor a single bill/motion that will favour his zone since his inception as a Senator, neither a solid project that will be shown to the public compared to the likes of Sen. Binos Yaroe.
With the current style of Abbo's representation towards the great people of Adamawa Northern zone, it will be so shameful for PDP to campaign for him again in 2023 - considering that he has no single achievement or project to point out and convince the voters. Therefore; Abbo's defection will surely be a blessing in disguise to PDP.
APC is already a sinking ship that's looking for other hopeless passengers to sink with, and we have to congratulate them as they got one.
It's now a good time for PDP to take a deep breath, look for a great person, and handle him the senatorial ticket in order to rescue our dear Northerners from the trial of poor representation from Sen. Abbo.
In conclusion, I wish Sen. Ishaku Abbo well in all his future endeavors, but politically; he's dead.
