The battle for dominance between Davido and Wizkid has been put to test again. This time around, both Nigerian artistes have been nominated in the category for the Best African Art in the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards. Other Africans nominated in the category are South Africa’s – Babes Wodumo & Nasty C, Angola’s – C4 Pedro and Kenya’s – Nyashinksi. Taylor Swift leads award with 6 nominations which includes a Best Video Act for her latest video “Look What You Made Me Do“. Close behind with 5 nominations are Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and Kendrick Lamar. The MTV Europe Music Awards will be holding on the 12th of November at the SSE Arena, Wembley, London with Rita Ora as host. By Joseph Erunke ABUJA-PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has made a surprised visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, to felicitate with troops of Operation Lafiya Dole, on the nation’s 57th Independence Anniversary. Buhari in Maiduguri Buhari, who according to pictures released from the area by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman to that effect, is at the moment addressing the frontline troops in the restive state. The president’s visit came a day after the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, led service Chiefs to the state to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day with troops at the frontline of fight against Boko Haram terrorists in the North East. The service chiefs that went with the Defence Chief yesterday, were the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, Chief of Army Staff, Lt.
